Hello all you music-lovers! I am the choral director, band director, and music teacher at Shirland Grade School.
This will be my third year teaching at Shirland and y third year teaching overall.
I grew up in Door County, Wisconsin, (where many of you probably go for vacation) and received my bachelor's degree in Music
Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2005.
I have been a musician since I was 5 years old, learning piano from my mother, who is also a music educator.
In my spare time I like to listen to music, practice my many instruments, sing very loudly to the radio, go to concerts,
hit the gym, be outdoors, scrapbook, travel, and keep in touch with friends.
I am very excited to be teaching here at Shirland for another year, especially because we won a grant at the end of last year
to buy new textbooks for the music classroom! They are a wonderful resource and I can't wait to use them with the students this year!
